DEX Recovery
DEX Recovery automates and streamlines the asset recovery and resale process.  The system allows users to access multiple sales channels, such as eBay®, where excess returns and recertified and refurbished product inventory can be sold to recognize newfound revenue streams.

DEX Recovery Overview
DEX Recovery is a module of the reverse logistics solution suite developed by DEX Systems, the IT solutions division of DEX.  DEX Recovery is an efficient, useful, and well-designed front-end extension to the Oracle® E-Business Suite.  DEX Recovery is specifically designed to maximize the value of returned assets.  DEX Recovery is fully integrated with the DEX Recertification and Repair modules to provide complete tracking of all test, recertification and repair costs.  The solution is also completely integrated with DEX Warehouse, which assures full inventory tracking capabilities.

DEX Recovery supports multiple sales channels, including eBay®, Internet auctions, business-to-business exchanges, and bulk and category salvage processes.  If assets are being sold on behalf of a third party, DEX Recovery allows for revenue share distribution so the owner of the inventory benefits from maximum sale prices and yields.

DEX Recovery includes a robust and fully integrated workflow to provide automatic alerts and notifications to the appropriate people at each stage in the recovery and resale process.

DEX Recovery
The DEX Recovery module empowers organizations to test, rework, and resell products that:

• the original equipment manufacturer has determined to be excess, or
• have been returned to the manufacturer for a variety of reasons.

Companies that provide test, recertification, and repair services can use DEX Recovery to extend those services to include resale and revenue recovery.

DEX Recovery tracks contractual revenue sharing agreements between the manufacturer and the reselling organization.  Every resale transaction is captured in real-time and contractually agreed upon revenue share amounts are calculated at the moment the sale is executed.  Purchase Order records are then automatically created in Oracle, which in turn generate appropriate accounts payable records.

DEX Recovery is also fully integrated with DEX Warehouse and Oracle Inventory, providing complete inventory visibility for all items in the recovery and resale process.  Customer-owned items can be tracked in non-valued customer owned sub-inventory locations, while reseller owned items are assigned to appropriately valued sub-inventory locations.  All inventory movements are properly captured and recorded with the appropriate inventory transactions.

Additionally, the solution allows for product assembly teardowns, which exposes more components for potential resale, maximizes the overall value, and increases the potential resale revenue from each unit.  The DEX Recovery process identifies the serial numbers to be marked for recovery sales.

Improved Financials
Revenue share reporting allows clients to view available recovery sales inventory, as well as the recovery cost and revenue values of the material that has been successfully resold.  The DEX Recovery module allows for detailed financial monitoring of asset sales across all channels with a user-definable customized reporting capability.  Reports are available on demand to assess current positions in the marketplace.
