Selects DEX as Depot Repair Supplier Camarillo, CA - April 2, 2008 - DEX® (Data Exchange Corporation), a leading supply chain solutions provider for high-tech industries, announced today that it has been chosen to provide its leading depot repair solutions for GE Homeland Protection, Inc., a business of GE Security, Inc., a wholly-owned indirect subsidiary of the General Electric Company (NYSE: GE). DEX, with more than two decades of expertise in the supply chain industry, was selected by GE Homeland Protection based on its superior repair and systems capabilities. DEX will enable GE Homeland Protection to reduce cycle times, benefit from highly reliable and repeatable repair processes, and access DEX’s ancillary professional services. GE Homeland Protection is a new customer for DEX, but joins many other GE business units that have also chosen DEX to help with their repair and related support needs. Additionally, DEX’s highly qualified team of on-site staff of engineers dedicated to supporting GE Security’s Homeland Protection business systems and products will take steps to ensure that all products are repaired quickly and efficiently. DEX’s engineers—who include mechanical, electrical, process, and quality engineers—have the ability to provide reverse engineering solutions for GE Homeland’s products when component parts required for repair are not readily available, or when documentation does not exist to create a repair process. Additionally, the engineers provide failure analysis of field return units and mechanical products, offering feedback to OEMs and clients who then implement in their next generation processes. “We look forward to developing a long-term relationship that will empower GE Homeland Protection to achieve strategic business initiatives and realize the power of DEX as a valued business partner,” said Howard Goldberg, general manager and senior vice president of DEX’s California division. “DEX will work with GE Homeland Protection to provide continuous improvements in cost and cycle times that will ultimately help the company respond to their growing market demands.” “We selected DEX for component repairs because of their engineering expertise, capacity and years of repair operations experience,” said Tony McGraw, general manger, services, GE Security’s Homeland Protection business.
