News Center - Press ReleasesFOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE For more information contact: Randy Hudson DEX Enhances Web-Enabled Tracking and Order Entry Software for Improved Customer Data Management Camarillo, CA - January 7, 2008 - DEX® (Data Exchange Corporation), a leading supply chain solutions provider for high-tech industries, announced today that it has rolled out an enhanced version of OrderVision®, the company’s dynamic online solution that integrates various work streams of reverse and forward logistics, warehousing, deport repair, and asset management together into one system. OrderVision enables DEX’s clients to have instant access and visibility to real-time data of their products, 24 hours a day, seven days a week, from any location worldwide. OrderVision allows DEX’s clients to enter, track, and update orders, along with viewing product and program status. With OrderVision, clients can obtain multiple standard and customizable reports for inventory management, reconciliation of assets, proof of delivery, and returns of defective products. Additionally, they can search and sort by part, purchase order, RMA, serial numbers, and date range. Requested data can then be downloaded directly to the desktop and/or spreadsheets per the client’s specific requirements. Examples of these types of reports include real-time inventory reports at the serial number level, current order status reporting, pending RMA returns reports, daily finished goods completion reports, daily shipment reports, and more. Based on client specifications, OrderVision can be securely accessed though customized web portals or directly through the OrderVision website for a variety of users including call centers, end users, and customers. This enables clients to have the ability to manage their entire supply chain network. Now, in addition to an improved design, richer user interfaces, and enhanced security, clients will be able to retain column headings on the top of each page and sort as needed, which eliminates the need to scroll from page to page. With these new enhancements, clients can add or disable users, add contacts, reset passwords, and manage and control accounts from the convenience of their own offices. Multiple RMA and order entry screens have been streamlined into a single order entry page, making it easier for clients to access information. Rather than sifting through several pages of data, clients can now view their information on one screen. Additionally, product status attribute columns that show descriptive flex field names are now available, allowing clients to view crucial customer-specific data that was in the previous version of OrderVision. It also enables clients to validate the data in these flex fields. “As always, DEX is constantly striving to improve our systems and technology,” said Chip Dickinson, president for DEX Systems. “This enhancement will continue to benefit all of our clients and how quickly and efficiently they can access program data.”About DEX About DEX Systems DEX is a registered trademark of Data Exchange Corporation.
