About DEX - History

Since our inception in 1980, we have supported dozens of Fortune 500 companies worldwide and have longstanding clients that include manufacturers, OEMs, ODMs and retail organizations.  Our solutions are targeted to Automotive Electronics, Homeland Security, Medical Technology, Retail, Telecommunications & Networking, Renewable Energy, Semi-Conductor, and Computer industries. All of our facilities worldwide are ISO certified, have rigorous quality standards, and are focused on continuous improvement.  

DEX was founded on the principle that high-tech equipment repair could be accomplished faster and better with mechanical, electrical and process engineers who produce repeatable processes and procedures. This foundation has translated to all of DEX’s supply chain services so that precise procedures and techniques are carried out in all DEX’s facilities. 
 
DEX maintains facilities around the world, delivering unprecedented service to businesses across the country. Our Western Operations located in Camarillo, California houses our corporate headquarters as well as the information technology and engineering departments that support all global operations. Our Eastern Operations, located outside of Columbus, provides clients with volume returns management solutions for high-tech products. In addition to our U.S. facilities, we also operate a facility in Dublin, Ireland, as well as offices throughout Asia.

With an unmatched IT infrastructure and leading systems that have been successfully running our worldwide operations for more than a decade, our clients have immediate access to their inventory and data. OrderVision®, DEX's web-enabled software tool, links customers to our Oracle® database 24x7. This business-to-business middleware tool gives clients visibility to real-time status of their inventory and orders throughout the entire supply chain process, along with robust and tailorable information management capability.

SupplyItNow™ is our parts procurement website accessed by more than 4,000 sellers for a broad variety of high-tech parts and components. Sellers are invited to view the purchase demand in the marketplace and price components accordingly. This engine also allows DEX’s procurement group to purchase replacement product at the lowest price for our clients.
